For 9.8, we only got the new method added
(CoreContainer.getDefaultHttpSolrClient) and deprecating the old one. Since
the primary substance of this JIRA issue is actually *using* it, I'll create a
sub-task for just the completed part and edit CHANGES.txt accordingly.
