To be honest I paid little to no attention to the changelog file, which is my 
fault that there is no entry yet.

For many other CLI "fixes" and deprecations we were planning to create one 
entry that wraps everything up. I believe we could include this in there as 
well. However, many changes were backported only to branch_9x. Since this is 
one of the few fixes we backported to 9.7, this may get its own entry in the 
9.7 changelog.
