I like this approach. Have you considered making the ContainerPluginsRegistry
itself pluggable, and supply e.g. {{{}ZkContainerPluginsRegistry{}}},
{{NodeConfigContainerPluginsRegistry}} ootb, and pave the way for including a
{{CMContainerPluginsRegistry}} as part of
[SIP-18|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/SOLR/SIP-18]. The plugin
would probably be registered in solr.xml..
