But according to https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8285835 the JDK fix is now backported to 17.0.7 and 19.0.2, so if we assume users keep their JDK up to date it should be safe to remove all Solr-level workarounds. Thanks for the feedback. I was not sure anymore if both fixes relate to each other. In my opinion, the command line parameter does not hurt, so we should just keep it on the list to remove it at a later stage (not for Solr 9.3).
