Hi [~dartfish] , I am also facing the same issue and you have created this
around 4 years back. Why is this marked as a minor issue? Is there any other
way to get data from a second collection in multi-node Solr-Cloud using single
query? From my personal opinion, I don't think it should be marked as a new
feature, for me it's a major bug.

> Add the ability to use a document transformer [subquery] on a multi-node
> SolrCloud cluster with the basic authentication plugin enabled
> ([https://lucene.apache.org/solr/guide/7_4/transforming-result-documents.html]).
>   Currently the subquery request will return an
> org.apache.solr.client.solrj.impl.HttpSolrClient$RemoteSolrException Error
> 401 require authentication as the [subquery] request is not made using the
> logged in users basic authentication credentials.
