I'd love to hand this one off to you!    I did some work on 
[https://github.com/epugh/solr/tree/SOLR-16263-migrate-http2] and started 
feeling like I was pulling a thread in a sweater, with no idea how long it 
would take to get through it!  Also, saw some unit test failures that I wasn't 
comfortable with....

You can see in the branch I did that there are a lot of changes to the 
SolrClient. 

I will put a pause on this, though if there is a bunch of rote work that can't 
be automatically done by IntelliJ, and you want some hands to help, please do 
ping me.

 

Lastly, should we move this from a subtask up to it's own issue?
