Houston Putman commented on SOLR-16131:
---------------------------------------

For your first issue (the calciteDriver class not being loaded) I'm going down
the rabbit hole and trying to figure out where the wrong classloader could have
been used when creating The parent classes of the JDBCStream (likely the
SQLHandler didn't get the correct classloader)

> sql module cannot load Calcite driver

> After adding the sql module, using -Dsolr.modules=sql from the command line
> on startup, sql queries throw the following error:
> Failed to load JDBC driver for
> 'org.apache.solr.handler.sql.CalciteSolrDriver'
> This makes the sql module inoperable.
