Thanks for opening! Those license headers are all slightly different for different languages, although I think we can now remove them. Initially I wrote that script because we had hundreds of files we hadn't licensed yet, but now it's pretty easy to copy and paste a new license header when creating a new file (and we have a CI job that runs the RAT checker and lets us know if we didn't). I'd prefer to keep our pre-commit simple (perhaps improving the error message on the RAT checker fail would be another way to improve the user experience). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
