I think the main thing it would benefit would be something like `st_x()` where there's an obvious optimized version/the function only applies to a point. If any of the branchless loops fails a check (e.g., there is more than just point geometries) we'd have to fall back to a version that can handle everything. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
