I don’t have a strong personal preference for PySpark, Pandas, or Ibis APIs. That said, two guiding principles should apply: 1. We need a smooth on-ramp from SedonaDB Python to SedonaSpark Python. 2. We should avoid reinventing APIs. Our best path is to follow the most widely adopted patterns, while avoiding obvious pitfalls. Given this, I lean toward aligning with either the Sedona PySpark API or the GeoPandas API, with a few nice APIs from ibis probably. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
