Gargi-jais11 opened a new pull request, #11622: URL: https://github.com/apache/ozone/pull/11622
## What changes were proposed in this pull request? When a datanode marks a container for close, it updates in-memory state before persisting the .container file. Moving to CLOSING releases the volume reservation . If the file write fails, rollback puts the container back to OPEN but does not re-reserve the container bytes. So now the container stays OPEN and writable but doesn't account for the volume’s committedSpace , so the volume looks more free than it is actually. ## What is the link to the Apache JIRA https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-17024 ## How was this patch tested? Confirmed the new test suggested in the jira `testReservationKeptWhenMarkForCloseFails` failed without the fix and after fix it passes. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
