# Summary [NIFI-16369](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-16369) Removes the custom `CredentialsRefreshRESTClient` class from Iceberg REST Catalog module in favor of the standard REST Client with Token Exchange disabled. The custom client supported a method interception strategy that requested a new Access Token when observing the request of a token exchange, supporting Iceberg REST Catalogs and Identity Providers that did not support Token Exchange. The revised approach removes the custom client, preserving the existing behavior to request a new Access Token, and avoiding compatibility issues related to method implementation in the REST Client class.
