@JPercivall The code, being based on 0.7 wouldn't compile cleanly when
merged with 1.x so I am working in getting it to compile.
I also I think I transferred most of the comments across and will be
updating this PR as I try to address them.
Just as a note, given I know little about AWS IoT or MQTT internals this is
well an adventure so bear with me... :smiley:
