# Summary [NIFI-15805](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15805) Replaces the `README.md` in `nifi-assembly` with the `README.md` located in the project root directory. Most of the information is similar between the two files, and the root project README.md serves as the common place for current status and instructions on getting started.
