Elasticsearch 9 was released in April 2025, NiFi should ensure it is compatible
with the latest supported versions of Elasticsearch (9.x, 8.x).
Typically, NiFi also supports the last supported version of Elasticsearch too,
i.e. 7.x in this case so that the NiFi community has longer to catch-up with
the external release & support cadence of Elastic.
NiFi up to 2.4.0 supported Elasticsearch 6.x, but that could now be dropped to
simplify some elements of the NiFi code base (primarily tests).
