David Pfingst created NIFI-14513:
------------------------------------

Summary: "Queue empty" dialog on connection delete
                 Key: NIFI-14513
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-14513
             Project: Apache NiFi
          Issue Type: Wish
    Affects Versions: 2.4.0, 1.28.1
            Reporter: David Pfingst

As a developer I would like to get a better handling when deleting a connection
between two processors that has flowfiles in the queue.

If I want to delete a connection now that has flowfiles in a queue I have to
empty the queue first then click okay when it's empty and then I can delete the
connection. For me it takes too much time if I am in the work flow and want to
achieve fast results.

My sugesstion would be to change the dialog that opens up when I try to delete
a connection with files in the queue. That dialog should ask the user whether
the queue should be emptied and then deleted or not. If the user clicks yes the
two actions (empty queue, delete connection) should be triggered. If the user
clicks no nothing should happen.

I think that would increase the speed of working in Nifi and bring a better
workflow.
