Hi everyone, I would like to work on this issue. I plan to first inspect both org.apache.maven.internal.impl.DefaultProjectBuilder and org.apache.maven.project.DefaultProjectBuilder to understand their current responsibilities, overlaps, and references across the codebase. Based on that, I will propose a minimal and safe change, either consolidating them where feasible or renaming one of them to reduce confusion, while keeping the impact as small as possible.
