i'd like to see this case explicitly handled. while something like
`${CWD}/.mvn/.remoteRepositoryFilters` would work if MNG-6303 was resolved, it
breaks if you're not at the top level of the project.
i'll also take what i can get just so i can check these files in w/ the project
itself and not need an absolute path.
