Alexey Serbin commented on KUDU-3264: ------------------------------------- I'm not sure what's the reason for SIGSEGV in the case of ARM/aarch64 build, but some time ago similar error occurred on x86_64 as well when using glog 0.4.0, e.g. see https://gerrit.cloudera.org/#/c/15975/ for details. In addition, there is also a report on builds on ARM/aarch64: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KUDU-3263 I personally don't have access to ARM/aarch64 machine, so I cannot confirm/reproduce this. Building and publishing {{kudu-binary}} jar for ARM/aarch64 might be possible, but for that it's necessary to have access to ARM/aarch64 boxes. It seems the major obstacle here is that most of the developers in the community don't have access to ARM/aarch64 boxes. > Release kudu-binary for linux-aarch64 > ------------------------------------- > > Key: KUDU-3264 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KUDU-3264 > Project: Kudu > Issue Type: Wish > Components: flume-sink > Affects Versions: 1.14.0 > Reporter: Martin Tzvetanov Grigorov > Priority: Major > > I am trying to build Apache Flume on ARM64 (Aarch64) but it fails due to > missing kudu-binary.jar for linux-aarch64 > ([https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/kudu/kudu-binary/1.14.0/).] > I see that Kudu started supporting ARM64 since KUDU-3007 (1.13). Would it be > possible to add aarch64 binary for 1.15.0 ? -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005)
