1. The contributor should create a specific metric in `cache` metric registry.
Take a {{CacheMetricsImpl}} as an example.
2. Probably, you need simple {{LongMetricImpl}}.
3. One should pass it to the place, RR events occur.
4. On each event, you should call {{metric.increment()}}
