Ivan Pavlukhin commented on IGNITE-9622:
----------------------------------------

We need to establish consistent (acceptable) _unsupported operation_ protocol.
I looked into existing code and did not find a common practice.
Some thoughts about a subject. Using unsupported transaction mode in Java code
is definitely a programming error (like accessing an array element at index
-1). So, it is not supposed to be handled in run time. JCache uses
{{UnsupportedOperationException}}, {{IllegalArgumentException}} and other
unchecked exceptions form Java standard library in places where an user
requested an operation illegal by some reason.

> MVCC Cache API: prohibit non PESSIMISTIC REPEATABLE_READ transactions

> For cache with enabled mvcc we should allow running only PESSIMISTIC
> REPEATABLE_READ transactions. For other modes exception should be thrown
> (like is done for SQL API).
