Extension POMs explicitly declare dependency and plugin versions that are
already managed by the parent POMs, and define properties that are not used
anywhere. Such duplicates hide which version is actually used and keep some
modules on outdated versions (e.g. Guava in the ZooKeeper IP finder and old
Maven plugins) when the parent is updated. The versions should be taken from
the parent POMs only.
