I've traced the disconnect between the server-side issuance and client-side
property to the first JIRA for delegation token support HIVE-1696
The method
"public String getDelegationTokenWithSignature(String
renewerKerberosPrincipalName,
String tokenSignature)"
seem to have disappeared after that. I'll dig into when it was removed.
There's several module renames so it is challenging where the change came from.
