- The documentation for Hive LLAP on ASF Confluence looks outdated or not
intuitive enough? I mean
[https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/LLAP] .
- This document directs the configuration of LLAP to
[https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/Configuration+Properties#ConfigurationProperties-LLAP]
. But the document never states the minimum configuration to enable LLAP. LLAP
does not seem to be enabled by default.
- [https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/LLAP] also mentions that
LLAP is deployed as *SLIDER* on {*}YARN Deployment{*}. But *Apache Slider* is
actually archived. See [https://github.com/apache/incubator-retired-slider] .
Does this mean that Hive support for LLAP is outdated?
- [https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/LLAP] also mentions that
the LLAP Web UI is available at *localhost:15002* . But the self-description
text of Hive's Docker Image never mentions that port *15002* can be exposed.
See [https://hub.docker.com/r/apache/hive] . Port *15002* does not belong to
{*}HiveServer2 or Hive Metastore{*}?
- I have to wonder about the current minimum configuration of Hive to start
LLAP.
