Description:
SHOW CREATE TABLE shows the time zone that the table was created in (if it
contains a TIMESTAMPTZ column). This is also misleading, since it might have
nothing to do with the actual data.
e.g.
{code:java}
hive> set time zone America/Los_Angeles;
hive> create table text_local (ts timestamp with local time zone) stored as
textfile;
hive> show create table text_local;
CREATE TABLE `text_local`(
`ts` timestamp with local time zone('America/Los_Angeles'))
{code}
should be:
{code:java}
hive> show create table text_local;
CREATE TABLE `text_local`(
`ts` timestamp with local time zone)
{code}
