[~tartarus]: More like create the "my_new_table" with '\t' in the comments and
run the following commands in BeeLine, and in HiveCLI manually, to see the
changes before and after the patch:

describe my_new_table;
describe formatted my_new_table;
describe pretty my_new_table;{code}
Creating a file like the

to see what is changed after the patch would be nice.
