Looks like the change in ThriftBinaryCLIService should not be included in this
patch. +1 once that is removed and pending tests.
It would also be useful to explore adding more of an end to end test for the
cache usage. This can be done in a follow up patch. One way to do it would be
to check for the log message, for an example, have a look at
TestHive.testMetaStoreApiTiming (its trivial).
