This seems like a reasonable first pass. I noticed today that Spark classes
aren't showing up in our API docs nor our internal API docs. maybe this will
fix it? Unfortunately we don't archive enough in the precommit run for me to
tell.
Also curious about the answer to Yi Liang's question.
