Description: It appears that newer Linux distributions or build tools do
not automatically link librt and the library needs to be explicitly linked.
(was: It appears that newer Linux distributions have moved several of the
timer_ functions to their own library, librt, and that needs to be detected and
manually linked on those distributions.)
