   Thanks, makes sense. I added a warning for the likely-mistake positional 
combinations (`earliest` startup with `auto.offset.reset=latest`, and `latest` 
startup with `auto.offset.reset=earliest`) in both the static and dynamic 
source paths. The warning explains that startup still follows the initializer 
while Kafka may use the configured reset strategy if an initialized offset 
later becomes unavailable. I intentionally do not warn for 
`auto.offset.reset=none`, since `earliest`/`latest` startup plus fail-fast 
handling for an unavailable concrete offset is the motivating broker-truncation 
use case. The combinations remain allowed rather than rejected.
