Review Comment:
   Thanks for the fix — the test reads cleanly now, and setting 
`THREAD_PROVIDERS` inside the supplier is the right place to guarantee it on 
whatever thread runs the metadata query. LGTM from me. I'll leave the final 
call to the maintainers.
