@rmetzger Are you sure that Logstash doesn't perform any retry logic..? For
example https://logstash.jira.com/browse/LOGSTASH-720 seems to implement that..
You can test document loss in the close() method trying to index a
malformed document...if you have 10 M documents and one of those is malformed
is very probable that a lot of them will not be indexed (I opened a ticket only
for that https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-5353)
