Kenneth William Krugler commented on FLINK-30112: ------------------------------------------------- As of https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-30113, I think the docs should now be updated to note that both keyed and operator state compression is supported. It would be good to clarify that `execution.checkpointing.snapshot-compression` is used for both keyed and operator state compression. And that there's a change to snapshot format which isn't backwards compatible (but is forward compatible), or so I assume? > Improve docs re state compression > --------------------------------- > > Key: FLINK-30112 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-30112 > Project: Flink > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Documentation > Reporter: Dawid Wysakowicz > Priority: Major > Fix For: 1.19.0 > > > Documentation should state explicitly state compression is supported only for > KeyedState as of now. > https://nightlies.apache.org/flink/flink-docs-release-1.16/docs/ops/state/large_state_tuning/#compression -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.10#820010)
