[~j...@goyeau.com] Thanks for reaching out! With regards to the Scala upgrade,
we need to make a decision in the Flink community what we want to do. Upgrading
to 2.13 will probably be a breaking change as listed out in this thread. We
could also consider adding new Scala APIs which are wrappers around the Java
APIs and deprecate the old Scala API. I'm no Scala expert myself and the Flink
community could definitely use a few so if you or anyone else has a suggestion,
do feel free to reach out. We could also involve a discussion thread on the
Flink mailing lists. WDYT?
