Airblader opened a new pull request #16006:
URL: https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/16006

   ## What is the purpose of the change

   This exposes the SET/RESET operations from the parser itself. Due to the
limitations with Calcite, we require key/value to be single-quoted now (which
is consistent with options in other DDL statements). In order to preserve
backwards compatibility, however, we keep the regex-based extended parser
implementation for now as well.

   User-facing this should not create any behavioral changes, it merely allows
parsing (quoted) SET/RESET statements through the normal parser now. However,
we do document the quoted syntax now.

   ## Brief change log

   *(for example:)*
   * Add SET/RESET to the sql-parser
   * Document the syntax with quotes
   * Update documentation examples using SET/RESET to use quotes

   ## Verifying this change

   A couple tests have been added for the new, quoted syntax. Otherwise this is
covered by existing tests.
