    I guess we can just move on here by assuming that Redis must be started 
manually before it can be uses as state backend. We still need to figure out 
how to test this: it is clear that Redis must be started in the test prepare 
phase of a ITCase. However, i am not sure, if we can include the binary in the 
git repository. @aljoscha @sbcd90 Would it be possible to use Travis to 
download the binary for the test?  Or is there another way to get Redis up an 
running?
