Kostas Kloudas commented on FLINK-17104: ---------------------------------------- Hi [~felixzheng], I would just like to point you to [this|https://lists.apache.org/list.html?d...@flink.apache.org:lte=1M:%5BDISCUSS%5D%20Support%20registering%20custom%20JobStatusListeners%20when%20scheduling%20a%20job] discussion in the mailing list. Actually I am also a bit reluctant to allow arbitrary user code to run on the {{JobManager}} (although we do it in some cases) and if it fits your usecase, it would be easier to simply register a {{JobListener}} but, of course, you may have a usecase which is not covered by the {{JobListener}}. Also about another similar discussion, please have a look [here|https://lists.apache.org/list.html?*@flink.apache.org:2020-2:Atlas%20integration]. > Support registering custom JobStatusListeners from config > --------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: FLINK-17104 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-17104 > Project: Flink > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: API / Core > Reporter: Canbin Zheng > Priority: Minor > Labels: pull-request-available > > Currently, a variety of users are asking for registering custom > JobStatusListener support to get timely feedback on the status transition of > the jobs. This could be an important feature for effective Flink cluster > monitoring systems. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005)
