vthinkxie edited a comment on issue #9883: [FLINK-13818][web]: Check whether
web submission are enabled

is there any discussion threads / ML that give the conclusion/decision that
we must give backward-compatibility guarantees for REST API, but **must not**
give it to the Web(even when it is possible and easy to implement)?

For anyone who builds a web UI with flink UI as submodule should also
continue to work in 1.10+, it is OK not to give the guarantees, but when we can
make it work easily(with one line of code), why not? any special reason for it?
