The only thing here is trying to stop making any unnecessary trouble for users and developers when possible and easy to implements. `Changing this significantly alters how we have to approach new features, both for reviews and testing, and as such has to be discussed on the ML` is another thing we can discuss later, but should not block this pr IMO.
