Thanks Sergey: I've rebuilt CXF from source and tried again with the same
plugin configuration I have reported above.
The generated file is now named {{application.wadl}} and it seems to contain
all Javadocs information - see it [here|http://paste.apache.org/6KYH].
Problems:
# the {{<grammars/>}} section is still empty: I don't understand where the
JAXB errors you mention above are coming since the WADL file [generated by the
CXF servlet|http://paste.apache.org/aOyU] looks fine and complete
# the file {{javadoc-options-javadoc-resources.xml}} is not created under
{{target}} and makes RAT unhappy of the build
