Yes you will still see the Cordova's default splash screen assets if you do not 
override it with the `AndroidWindowSplashScreenAnimatedIcon` preference flag.

Eventhough the cordova-plugin-splashscreen is deprecated and should not be 
installed, the Splash Screen functionality still exists in the core of 
Cordova-Android.
