Okay, I actually have the splash screen plugin uninstalled, and all references 
removed from fetch.json, my plugins folder, package/package-lock etc. However I 
do remember that I had to remove the plugin manually because when I was 
uninstalling it, it said something like another deprecated plugin was not 
found. For instance, I think it said when trying to uninstall 
cordova-plugin-splashscreen "failed to uninstall cordova-plugin-splashscreen, 
cordova-plugin-androidx could not be found".

This being said, I will try and run the build without hooks and other things 
and see if I can get the splashscreen to work. I am also wondering if I should 
try using cordova CLI 12 instead of cordova CLI 11. I shall post here what I 
find out.
