Nux commented on CLOUDSTACK-5543:
---------------------------------

I've just hit this bug with a github 4.2.1 SNAPSHOT from a couple of days ago,
this is still not solved.. FYI.

> Cant delete Secondary Storage NFS when ISOs exist on it
> -------------------------------------------------------

> Key: CLOUDSTACK-5543
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-5543
> Project: CloudStack
> Issue Type: Bug
> Security Level: Public(Anyone can view this level - this is the
> default.)
> Components: Management Server
> Affects Versions: 4.2.0
> Environment: CentOS 6.5, NFS used for Secondary Storage
> Reporter: Andrija Panic
> Labels: secondary, storage
>
> Not possible to remove Secondry Storage NFS because public ISO files still
> exist on it. And since they exist on all sec. storages, there is no way to
> selectively delete it from one of the sec. storage.
> Details:
> After moving all public VM templates from this "old" NFS to the new NFS SS
> (by rsync and update template_store_ref table to point to new NFS store -
> because public temlates are NOT replicated the same way ISOs are, although
> they should be per my knowledge), it is still not possible to delete/remove
> the NFS secondary storage from GUI, because ISOs still exist on this "old"
> NFS storage.
> There is no option to remove ISO files references to 1 particular NFS storage.
> So eather enable GUI option to remove ISOs from storage, prior to it's
> removal, or complete ignore the fact that the ISOs exit on it (since ISOs are
> replicated to available secondary storages in zone).
> I managed to resolve my problem with:
> delete FROM cloud.template_store_ref where store_id=ID_OF_NFS_TO_BE_DELETE
> and template_id in (select id from vm_template where type='user' and
> format='iso');
