Claus Ibsen created CAMEL-25146:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Upgrade GraalVM (graalvm-version) beyond 25.2.x when JDK
17 support is dropped
                 Key: CAMEL-25146
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-25146
             Project: Camel
          Issue Type: Task
            Reporter: Claus Ibsen

GraalVM 25.3+ (GraalPy) calls {{Thread.threadId()}} which only exists since JDK
19, so camel-python3 fails at runtime on JDK 17:

{noformat}
org.graalvm.polyglot.PolyglotException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: 'long
java.lang.Thread.threadId()'
{noformat}

Verified locally:
* 25.4.4.1.1 on JDK 17: camel-python3 fails, camel-javascript passes
* 25.4.4.1.1 on JDK 25: camel-python3 passes
* 25.3.4.1 on JDK 17: camel-python3 fails
* 25.2.4 (current) on JDK 17: passes

25.2.4 is therefore the last GraalVM version compatible with Camel's JDK 17
runtime support. Splitting the version (GraalPy on 25.2.4, GraalJS newer) is
not an option as Truffle languages must share the same polyglot/truffle version.

When JDK 17 support is dropped, upgrade {{graalvm-version}} in parent/pom.xml
to the latest 25.x and re-run camel-python3 and camel-javascript tests.
