Robin Mattes created CAMEL-25144:
------------------------------------

Summary: tcp connections may stay open on exception in (re)connect
phase
                 Key: CAMEL-25144
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-25144
             Project: Camel
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: camel-milo
    Affects Versions: 4.22.1
            Reporter: Robin Mattes

Because the client.connect() call is outside of the try block that closes the
connection in case of an exception. There is a possibility that a connection to
a PLC is not closed. This can happen if a request timeout exception occurs
during the connection phase.

Because of this bug TCP connections stay open, and a PLC can handle only a hand
full of connections, at some point other OPC clients a blocked from connecting
to this.  With error code: BadMaxConnectionsReached.

Fix:

moving the client.connect() call into the try catch block that handles the
disconnect in case of an exception.

SubscriptionManager.java -> functoin performConnect() -> line 764
