Jono, I started a bit on this. And pushed my work on a branch
[https://github.com/apache/camel/tree/smb2]
The intention is to make a smb2 on the side at first as it's easier than
changing the old code. And then update the tests to use smb2 to see how much is
still working.
And then when its all done, we can swap over and remove the old component, and
rename smb2 to smb
If you did not already start then take a look at that branch. You can use that
to continue the work.
