[[email protected]], I think it was you who rejected Avatica's release
announcement, so can you please comment on my proposal to add a disclaimer that
the link to github is for reference, not download.
I don't see any prohibition in [release distribution
policy|https://www.apache.org/dev/release-distribution] from referencing the
source commit of a release; [release
policy|http://www.apache.org/legal/release-policy.html] says we "MUST direct
outsiders towards official releases rather than raw source repositories", and
we do.
