### Describe the bug, including details regarding any error messages,
version, and platform.
**`AMD64 Windows 2022 MATLAB`**:
- **Failure**: Post-job cache fails with `hashFiles('cpp/**',
'matlab/**') failed` even though all 1475 tests pass.
- **Root cause**: Background MSVC processes (`mspdbsrv.exe`, `vctip.exe`)
remain open with active file handles in `cpp/`.
**`AMD64 Debian SIMD Level NONE`**:
- **Failure**: `install_gcs_testbench.sh` fails with
`uninstall-no-record-file`.
- **Root cause**: `pip install -U pipx` attempts to overwrite Debian's
apt-installed `pipx`.
