Thanks for the heap-dump guidance. However, IMPALA-13794 appears to cover
Iceberg table memory estimation.
This ticket originally also mentioned external non-Iceberg tables, which don't
seem to be in IMPALA-13794's scope.
Can you confirm:
1. Does IMPALA-13794 fully duplicate this ticket (in which case we
close/re-scope)?
2. Or can this ticket still cover external non-Iceberg {{HdfsTable}} estimate
improvements?
If external tables remain in scope, what are those gaps we should be looking
at? For example, estimates for tables stored in external object stores dont
account numBlocks.
