[~boroknagyz] I vote on deprecating it ASAP - e.g. deprecate in Impala 5, and
plan to remove it in 5.1 completely if no-one complains.
2 very different catalog modes are too much to maintain.
About removing it from code: one blocker I know is IMPALA-14950 - some FE tests
are based on a legacy catalog based test catalog.
Note that [~stigahuang] created an apic about things we should fix local
catalog before dropping legacy catalog completely: IMPALA-14861
